CEOC provides a staffed office where consumers have access to a wide variety of resources about recovery, including written and videotape materials. Stark County BRIDGES Contact: Foundations 330-454-2888 Crisis Intervention Center for mental health and substance use issues; licensed counselors available 365 days a year, 24/7; has a 14 bed psychiatric unit and a 6 bed detox unit; offers various programs for suicide prevention and domestic violence. Contact: 330-452-6000 DBSA – Canton / Foundations Contact: 330-454-2888 Double Trouble in Recovery This is a twelve-step program for people who have a drug/alcohol history and have been diagnosed as having a mental illness. Contact: Rima 330-455-2520 x 37 Foundations, Inc. is a consumer operated, peer-run support and recovery network for people with a mental illness. It promotes mental health through peer support, education, networking and advocacy; programs include WRAP, peer support training, sign language, and speakers bureau. The group offers opportunities for support, socialization, trips, various speakers and presentations. PACT is designed for the whole family with support groups for parents and their partners, for teens, and for graded school children. For all support groups, members will be encouraged in their emotional, mental, and spiritual growth. The PACT program is free for all participants; childcare and transportation can be arranged with advance notice. Contact: 330-454-2888 Warmline Training prepares consumers to work on the Foundations’ Warmline. The Warmline provides "a caring voice, a listening ear, a helping hand, and a shoulder to lean on." The Warmline is similar to the Crisis hotline, except that it is not to be used for emergency situations; Warmline volunteers are instructed to contact the Crisis Center in case of a true emergency. The Ohio Supported Employment Coordinating Center of Excellence (Ohio SE CCOE) is a technical-assistance organization that promotes knowledge development and the implementation of evidence-based practices (EBPs) for the treatment and recovery of people with mental illness.
Participants in WMR begin to identify and achieve personal goals; develop informed, collaborative approaches to selecting and managing effective treatment; and chieve an overall healthier lifestyle.
